This program is an immersion into the craft of creating, producing, and executing team-generated short film content. Students will work on devised, improvised, and scripted material, which culminates in shooting several short films. Students will take on various roles throughout the program that include, but are not limited to: producer, crew, actor, and director. Students can expect to leave this class with a greater understanding of idea generation and execution, production skills, and general behind-the-camera knowledge. Each student will be a featured actor in one of the films.

Section 1 - Devising and Improvising Scripts
Through a series of ensemble-building improvisation workshops, students will learn how to build devised and improvised scripts. This section culminates in three days of shooting improvised scenes while learning how to use equipment: camera, sound, and lights.

Section 2 - Writing Scripted Material and Pitching, Producing, and Shooting Your Short
Ideas generated in section 1 are used to form more fully realized scripts through an easily digestible, step-by-step group writing process. These final scripts are pitched to TBG producers, who will then choose which ones to film. Students then produce, shoot, crew, and act in these short films. Each student will be a featured actor in one of the films.
