We’d love to introduce you to one of our incredible TBG teaching artists, Farrah Crane! Read our interview with her below…

What do you enjoy most about teaching?
FC: There are so many things! Being an ambassador of play! “Let’s play” is a big part of my teaching vocabulary, and as adults, I think we need to play more! In addition to being fun and freeing, it helps us to connect, explore, and be vulnerable.
What is a TBG tool you love to use in your own acting journey?
FC: Script Analysis. It is the foundation. When the work begins to feel effortful or forced, I remind myself of the snapshot. This gives me something to do, helps me to relax, open up to play, actively listen, and let the scene unfold. It can be that simple!
What is a project that you’ve been a part of that you are proud of?
FC: As a staff member at TBG, I am always working on new projects, ideas, and curriculum. It is exciting to do this creative work to support students and teaching artists in being self-generating, collaborative, producing artists!
I’m always working on a creative project…or two! I’m currently exploring more directing work and developing a series tentatively called Queens Kitchen.
