Teacher Spotlight: Dinanda Klaassen

Doug GoldringTraining

We’d love to help you get to know our incredible TBG teaching artists a little bit better, so we got Dinanda Klaassen to answer a few questions! Check out our interview with her below…

What is your favorite class to teach at TBG and why?

DK:  Beginner I and II. I just absolutely love to see how so many people come together from all different walks of life and become so connected with each other by the end of the class. I love working on good material and seeing how people take pressure off of themselves and truly start to play.

What is something you recently learned or were reminded of in the world of acting, writing, or directing?

DK: That most likely not every director or casting director will communicate in “Barrow Tool Language,” but you can translate for yourself. It’s so much fun to give yourself tools! Almost as if you’re having a little inside joke with yourself, which immediately creates even more play!

What is a recent, current, or upcoming project that you’d like folks to know about?

DK: In July, I got back from doing Murder On The Orient Express at the Fireside Theatre. Now I am back at the hustle, so auditioning multiple times a week. Hopefully I can give you an update soon!
