Teacher Spotlight: Brian Rojas

Doug GoldringCommunity, Training

We’d love to introduce you to one of our incredible TBG teaching artists, Brian Rojas! Read our interview with him below…

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

BR: [I love] creating an environment for a class to be silly, vulnerable, playful, and supportive with each other. Also, how much I learn from my students.

What is a TBG tool you love to use in your own acting journey?

BR: I enjoy playing with the real-life model. I love the simplicity of just doing what the character is doing but as myself. I usually find nuances to bring into my playing to help suspend disbelief and stimulate free association.

What is a project that you’ve been a part of that you are proud of?

BR: I feel grateful for all the storytelling experiences I’ve had. However, as we near summer, I can’t help but remember last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Sharing Scott Organ’s 17 Minutes alongside amazing friends and mentors from our TBG family was magical.

To take a class with Brian, try Professional Scene Study Intensive I: The Tools starting 7/2 or Beginner Acting Class II: Getting Specific starting 7/7.
