“I’ve been reflecting on the journey my daughter and I have shared with The Barrow Group.
When I began the 1-Year Professional Acting Program in 2022, I was a mom with a dream, determined to show my daughter that it’s never too late to try something new, and that fear should never hold us back.
I wasn’t sure if there was a place for me in this world of storytelling – a world I longed to be a part of. I kept asking myself, “Where do I belong?”
TBG became my lighthouse in the fog. It’s where I’ve found not only a space that has nurtured my growth as an actor but also my heart as a person. Over a few short years, it’s become my artistic and professional home – a place where I know I can show up, be exactly who I am, and feel like I belong.
Now, it fills me with immense joy to watch my daughter discover her own voice and confidence through The Barrow Group, as she begins to learn the same lessons about creativity, authenticity, and belonging that have shaped my journey.
There’s something truly magical about The Barrow Group. TBG’s philosophy, training, and community bring us closer to each other, give us a deeper sense of understanding, and remind us of our shared humanity. I’ve watched students of all ages and backgrounds connect, heal, and thrive through the power of art.
