We are very grateful to resume in-person programming!
All students and staff must be fully vaccinated (two-weeks since the date of the last dose of the vaccine) against Covid-19 to attend in-person classes. If you are not vaccinated, you are welcome to register for one of our popular online classes.
We look forward to seeing you in class!
Starting April 1, 2022:
The health and safety of our teachers, staff and students is extremely important to us. Due to the high transmission rate of the current Delta variant of COVID-19, we are instituting the following mandatory policies* for in-person classes starting April 1, 2022:
- All students/teachers/staff must be fully vaccinated. Participants must be fully vaccinated (two-weeks since the date of the last dose of the vaccine) against Covid-19 to attend in-person classes.
- We strongly encourage booster shots. If the city or state of New York shifts the definition of vaccination to include the booster, we will require this too.
- If you are not vaccinated, you are welcome to register for an online class. To transfer your registration to an online class, please contact us at training@barrowgroup.org.
- Students must show proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a photo ID. Students must bring a photo ID and your physical vaccination card and/or NY State approved apps: (Excelsior or NYC Covid Safe) on the first day of class. If students cannot provide proof of vaccination on the first day, students will not be admitted to the class. No refunds or credits will be issued in this event
- Students must sign an assumption of risk/waiver of liability form. A form for students to sign will be provided on the first day of class.
- Students/teachers/staff must agree to wearing masks. All are required to wear a mask while in the studios and in common areas (lobby, elevator, bathroom). We strongly encourage wearing N95 or KN95 masks. During scene work, students can choose to remove masks while performing if they want. Teachers may choose to remove their masks while giving feedback.
- Students/teachers will receive an emailed reminder on the day of your class urging you to assess your health, and any possible symptoms or Covid exposure. If you are experiencing any symptoms, for everyone's safety we ask that you please stay home or obtain a negative Covid test that day, before coming to class. If you have a known exposure, we ask that you stay home and self-quarantine for five days after the exposure. After five days, a negative test is highly recommended before rejoining the class, assuming you are not experiencing symptoms. No refunds or credits will be offered for classes missed due to Covid.
TBG reserves the right to move an in-person class online due to Covid-19 exposure and/or confirmed cases in the class. In this case, no credits or refunds will be issued.
Should there be a government-mandated closure, The Barrow Group reserves the right to shift in-person classes online. No refunds or credits will be issued in this event.
Should there be a government-mandated indoor mask mandate, students would not have the option to remove their mask when performing or working in class. No refunds or credits will be issued in this event.
Please review The Barrow Group’s full training program policies here.
Studio Covid Safety Protocols:
- Each studio will have an air purifier
- Each studio will be stocked with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Students are expected to wipe down the furniture/shared props before and after use.
- The building requires masks to be worn at all times in the elevators, stairwell, public corridors, and bathrooms.
*These protocols are subject to change.
