F.A.B. Women

FAB (“For, About, and By”) Women is a women’s development company under the Off-Broadway umbrella of The Barrow Group. FAB Women is dedicated to creating intimate, powerful, and thought-provoking theatrical work that reflects the lived experiences of women today.

Our ensemble is made up of 100 highly trained, professional women—writers, actors, and directors—drawn from leading New York acting studios and spanning generations, from artists in their 20s through their 70s and beyond. This intergenerational perspective is central to our work, allowing stories to emerge that are nuanced, expansive, and deeply human.

Our Work

FAB Women creates original pieces that explore what shapes and informs women in the 21st century—our relationships, identities, challenges, resilience, and imagination. The work is grounded in honesty and emotional truth, prioritizing story, presence, and connection over spectacle.

Through collaboration and sustained artistic support, FAB Women provides a space where women artists can develop work, take creative risks, and be seen and heard.
