6-Week Summer Acting Program

Our 6-Week Summer Acting Program is an excellent, affordable way for those interested in pursuing a career in acting in New York City to be a part of a vibrant Off-Broadway theatre company and community.

The program begins with an introduction to The Barrow Group approach and script analysis, and progresses to scene study, monologues, and on-camera acting technique as Barrow Group acting tools are introduced. These tools, found in An Actor’s Companion by Seth Barrish, encourage spontaneity, clarity, and freedom in the actor’s work.

Selected specialty classes such as voice for the actor, theatrical clown, improvisation, stage combat, and Alexander Technique are included. The program culminates in an industry session with an NYC Industry Professional (agent, manager, or casting director) and a panel discussion with TBG alumni and other industry professionals.
