TEACHER BIO

Instructor: Robert Serrell

Robert is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher and Barrow Group Acting Teacher. He has taught with The Actors Studio MFA Program at Pace University, Shakespeare & Co, Emerson College, Brandeis University, Barrington Stage Co, NJ Performing Arts Center, Wheelock Family Theatre Company and World Economic Forum's Global Fellows Program.  Robert has worked as vocal coach on the feature documentary film Code of the West and several regional productions, including A Midsummer Nights DreamRomeo and Juliet, and Edith Wharton's Summer.  

As an actor, Robert has performed regionally with Shakespeare & Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Barrington Stage, Williamstown Theatre Festival, SpeakEasy Stage, Clarence Brown, Publick Theatre, Stoneham Theatre and Actors Shakespeare Project. In New York City, he has performed in The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other at the Five Myles Theatre (OBIE Award Winner: Best Special Work) and Jig Saw at the Dawn-Powell Off-Broadway Festival. He also has performed principal roles in several SAG films, including Dancer and Avarice.

As a director, Robert has directed over a dozen Shakespeare productions with the Shakespeare & Co Education Program.  

Robert holds an MFA in Acting from Brandeis University and a Professional Certificate from the Royal Acadmey of Dramatic Art.

If you need to cancel a class for any reason, you must notify us by email at least one week before the class begins, and we will apply a credit to your account for a future class.
As our faculty are all working professional actors, directors and playwrights, we reserve the right to change teachers at any time.
Commitment is for the duration of the session. THERE ARE NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES. If you discontinue any class before the ending date of the session, you forfeit your fee.
