Purchasing Tickets

TBG partners with OvationTix to provide tickets to all of our events. You can purchase tickets online via our online calendar.

Please arrive to the theater at least fifteen minutes before the show begins. If you are not present five minutes before show time, your ticket may be made available to patrons on the waitlist. If you’re running late, please call the box office (212.760.2615) to let us know you are on your way.

MainStage Productions vs. Developmental Programming

The Barrow Group offers both fully-produced theatrical productions and public performances of work in development. All fully-produced productions for the 2019-2020 Season can be found here. Developmental programming varies each year but may consist of First Fridays, Artist Residencies, Readings, Fast Play Fest, F.A.B. Women readings, among others.

While much of the developmental programming is presented free of charge, you may need to reserve a seat in order to guarantee your space. When there is a ticket charge for developmental programming, this money is used to help The Barrow Group cover the administrative costs of presenting the developmental work.

Ticket Delivery

All tickets are delivered electronically in the form of an e-ticket. When you purchase a ticket, you will be asked to setup an account and provide an email address. You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase as well as an email with your e-ticket. You do not need to print the e-ticket in order to get in to the event. You may show the box office staff the e-ticket on a phone or other electronic device. 

Late Seating

All patrons arriving late will be seated at the discretion of House Management. You may not be able to be seated in your original seat if you arrive late.

Exchanges and Refunds

If you would like to exchange a ticket, there is an additional charge. The exchange fee is $4/ticket.  You must contact boxoffice@barrowgroup.org or call 212.760.2615 in order to request an exchange. Exchanges are fulfilled pending availability. If you are a member or purchased your tickets via a Flex Pass, you are entitled to free exchanges. 

The Barrow Group does not offer refunds at this time. Beginning in 2020, you will be able to purchase ticket insurance, available at the time of purchase. This ticket insurance will allow you to get a full refund on your tickets but will cost an additional charge at the time of purchase.

Accessibility

The Barrow Group is wheelchair accessible. We do everything in our power to accommodate the needs of anyone in need of mobility assistance. To avoid stairs, patrons should use the rear elevator at the back of the lobby upon entering the building (312 W. 36th Street, NY, NY 10018). To purchase wheelchair and wheelchair companion seating, please visit our ticketing website and look for the wheelchair symbol in blue. The box office may reach out to you directly to confirm your seating needs, so that the proper arrangement can be pre-set for you upon arrival. If you experience any problems or have questions, please reach out by calling 212.760.2615.

We are unable to offer assisted listening devices or open captioning at this time. If you would like request seating close to the stage and there does not appear to be any available on the performance date of your choice, please reach out directly to ereeder@barrowgroup.org.

Waitlist

If the performance you’d like to see is sold out, there’s still a chance! We open our waitlist for each performance an hour before show time (6:30pm). You must be physically present in order to add your name to the list and may not add the names of others. To add your name, check in with our House Manager in the lobby of the theatre on the 3rd Floor of 312 W. 36th, New York, NY 10018.

If there have been tickets returned or tickets that have not been claimed at showtime, we will seat people off the waitlist in the order in which they signed up. There are no guarantees you will be seated, but we will make every effort to get you in.

Rush Tickets

TBG offers a limited number of $20 rush tickets (pending availability) one hour prior to show time. Rush tickets will be sold in the lobby of the MainStage theatre (location: 3rd Floor, 312 W. 36th Street, NY, NY 10018) beginning one hour prior to performance (typically 6:30pm). In order to purchase rush tickets, you will need to be physically present. You may not purchase tickets over the phone or request a hold on rush tickets. Rush tickets are available only for that day’s performance and cannot be exchanged for another performance. There are no refunds or returns on rush tickets. There is a limit of 2 tickets per patron. We will sell rush tickets until the allotted inventory is gone.
