Let's Rebuild NYC's Cultural Landscape!

The Campaign for 520 8th Ave

We're thrilled to share that The Barrow Group has leased a new space at 520 8th Ave in midtown Manhattan!

We plan to transform this 13,000 square foot space into our new performing arts center in two phases.

In Phase One, we will build out five studios with ample storage, including two spaces for developmental readings and workshops for the public, and a lounge where artists and patrons may commune.  This phase will cost $800k. Thanks to the generous support of several individual donors and our Board, we've raised sufficient funds for this phase.  Construction will occur in February and March 2022. Our goal is to open to the public in April 2022.

In Phase Two, we will build out five sound-attenuated studios, one 60-seat studio theater, and a large lobby where artists and patrons may commune.  The projected cost for this phase is $3.2M.  We've identified $1.7M and will begin Phase Two construction once we have sufficient funds in place.

We invite you to join in helping build out this new arts center by making a donation today.

The pandemic has made one thing clear: social connection is essential to a healthy society. We believe the arts play a significant role in fostering community.  With this new space, The Barrow Group will help revitalize NYC’s cultural landscape and enrich the lives of thousands of artists and audience members for years to come.
