The camp runs from 10am-5pm. Extended Day is available from 8:30am–10am and 5–6pm. During this time, students will participate in group led activities such as arts and crafts, story time, etc. Extended Day is an additional $30 per day. Our one-week Summer Acting Camp for Tweens (ages 10-13) is a great introduction to acting and The Barrow Group approach. Students begin with ensemble building games and story structure/story telling exercises, and then move on to improv and scene study. The camp culminates in a showing in The Barrow Group’s Studio Theatre.
Students should bring a lunch Monday thru Thursday. A microwave and refrigerator are available for student use. On Friday, lunch will be provided. Snacks are provided on break, however, students are also encouraged to bring their own snacks.

This camp teaches our specific approach to storytelling, and introduces students to the same tools that our adult professional actors work with.
What makes The Barrow Group School different from many other studios in NYC is that all of our teachers have gone through an intensive teacher training program with TBG co-Artistic Directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock. Quinn has directed and performed in NYC, regional theaters throughout the US, and Internationally. She was recently nominated by Broadway World for Best Actress in a Musical in the DC Metro Area for her role of Maria in West Side Story. Other favorite roles include, most recently, Eliza in My Fair Lady, Christine in Phantom, Madeleine True in The Wild Party, Carla in Nine, and Wanda in The Barrow Group production of The Baby Dance. Quinn is co-Artistic Director, and one of the founding members of Core Artists Ensemble, a NYC Theatre Company that sprouted out of a TBG master class in 2012. Quinn is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where she studied Classical Voice and International Studies.
Farrah Crane is an actor, teacher, and producer in New York City. She originally hails from the mountains of Virginia, where at Radford University she received a degree in theatre, dance and marketing. She has been a member of The Barrow Group community since 2008 as an actor and administrator of the Tween and Teen Programs. Farrah has performed on stage at The Barrow Group, The Public Theater, New Dance Group Arts Center among others. Teaching credits include New Dance Group Arts Center and Theatre Arts Workshop.

All payments for classes are non-refundable (unless a class is canceled).
If you need to cancel a class for any reason, you must notify us by email at least one week before the class begins, and we will apply a credit to your account for a future class.
As our faculty are all working professional actors, directors and playwrights, we reserve the right to change teachers at any time.
Commitment is for the duration of the session. THERE ARE NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES. If you discontinue any class before the ending date of the session, you forfeit your fee.
