This event is in the past.

In our one-week Improv and Sketch Comedy Program (ages14-17) students learn the basics of Improv – including an analysis of classic sketches, how to write their own sketches, and how to act in improv and sketch comedy.

Students become more spontaneous, creative, playful, and imaginative, all while developing valuable theater and interpersonal skills. No experience required. The intensive ends with a showing for friends and family to watch their work!

Students should bring a lunch Monday thru Thursday. A microwave and refrigerator are available for student use. On Friday, lunch will be provided. Snacks are provided on break, however, students are also encouraged to bring their own snacks.

The camp runs from 10am-5pm.  Extended Day is available from 8:30am–10am and 5–6pm. During this time, students will participate in group led activities such as arts and crafts, story time, etc. Extended Day is an additional $30 per day. To register for Extended Day, please contact school@barrowgroup.org.

What makes The Barrow Group School different from many other studios in NYC is that all of our teachers have gone through an intensive teacher training program with TBG co-Artistic Directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock. So when your child takes a class with us, the teacher has trained for years at The Barrow Group in our specific approach.
