One Year Professional Acting Training Program

September – June
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
11am – 2pm
Taught by Barrow Group co-artistic directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock

The One Year Professional Acting Training Program is designed for the professional, working actor. This intense, narrow scope of training program, is designed to build on the actor’s existing set of skills and take training to the next level. Students will work with The Barrow Group’s simple, effective tools, as compiled in Seth Barrish’s book “An Actor’s Companion.” The program culminates in a showcase in our Studio Theatre.

One Year Professional Craft of Actor Program

September thru June
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

This one year professional acting training conservatory program is designed for Barrow Group students who are well versed in our approach and tools, to further supplement their training. This intense program adds to the already existing skill set to provide training in voice, movement, writing, devising, and performance. The program culminates in a showing directed by Seth Barrish and Lee Brock in our Studio Theatre.  If you have any questions, please email school@barrowgroup.org.

Prerequisite: Students must have completed either Scene Study III or Master Classes, or a One Year Acting Program.

One Year Intermediate Acting Program

September – June
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
6:30pm – 9:30pm
Taught by Chris Wells and other Barrow Group specialty teachers

The One Year Foundations of Acting Program is designed to provide a broad scope of actor training and serves a a great introduction to the Barrow Group approach. It is ideal for students with some experience, who are ready to expand their acting training and ready to jump into the NYC acting community. It culminates with a scene sharing in our Studio Theatre.
