At this year's Spring Benefit on May 19, 2026 our honorees include comedian and "Roastmaster" Jeff Ross, British film and tv actress Sarita Choudhury and Manhattan developer and philanthropist Jeffrey Gural. Special guests include filmmaker Andrew Jarecki, producer-actress Poorna Jagannathan, celebrated magician Andy Gershenzon and more!
Join us as we celebrate their contributions to the arts community of New York City and toast The Barrow Group's 40 years of building an artistic home dedicated to humanity, authenticity and creative freedom for actors, directors, writers and audiences. ABOUT JEFFREY GURAL
Jeffrey Gural is Chairman of GFP Real Estate LLC, which holds ownership interests in 41 properties totaling more than 10 million square feet, primarily in Manhattan. Alongside his son Eric Gural and nephew Brian Steinwurtzel, he oversees acquisitions, management, and leasing. A longtime leader in New York real estate, he joined Newmark in 1972, served as Chairman until 2017, and now holds the title of Chairman Emeritus.
Beyond real estate, Gural is deeply involved in civic, educational, and philanthropic leadership, having served with organizations including the Real Estate Board of New York, The New School, Times Square Alliance, UJA-Federation, and numerous arts and youth-focused institutions. He is also a major owner and breeder of Standardbred racehorses and operates Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs, and the Meadowlands Racetrack. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Civil Engineering, he lives in Manhattan with his family.

ABOUT JEFF ROSS
Jeff Ross is a writer, actor and comedian known worldwide as The Roastmaster General. His one-man musical show Take a Banana For the Ride, which he calls “a cathartic, comedic experience” about love, loss, and human resilience, just wrapped up an eight-week run on Broadway at the legendary Nederlander Theatre and is available to stream on Netflix. Jeff recently partnered with sports legend Tom Brady to produce GROAT (The Greatest Roast of All Time), which streamed live on Netflix on May 5, 2024. He has also spearheaded the wildly popular celebrity roasts of Justin Bieber, Alec Baldwin, Bruce Willis, James Franco, Charlie Sheen, William Shatner, Flava Flav, Donald Trump, and many others, along with the upcoming roast of Kevin Hart.
Jeff has used his stand-up comedy specials to shine a light on social issues he cares about - now streaming on Paramount Plus are Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals (filmed in a maximum security jail in Texas), Jeff Ross Roasts Cops (centering around Black Lives Matter and the Boston Police Department), and Jeff Ross Roasts The Border (filmed on both sides of the Mexican border fence in the Rio Grande Valley).
Jeff constantly supports and fundraises for causes he cares about such as The U.S.O., Meals On Wheels America, Planned Parenthood, The Scleroderma Research Foundation, the EB Research Partnership, Stand Up For Heroes, American Friends Of The Hebrew University, Comedy Gives Back, and others.
ABOUT SARITA CHOUDHARY
Sarita Choudhury is an acclaimed British actress whose distinguished career spans film, television, and international stage work. She first garnered widespread recognition with her breakout performance in Mississippi Masala and has since delivered memorable roles in acclaimed projects including Homeland, Jessica Jones, The Green Knight, and Fallout. She is currently celebrated for her standout role as Seema Patel in HBO’s And Just Like That..., where her performance has earned widespread praise and cultural acclaim.
Born in London and raised across Jamaica and Italy, Choudhury brings a uniquely global perspective to her artistry. A graduate of Queen's University at Kingston, she has built a career defined by depth, versatility, and powerful storytelling across genres and generations. Her work continues to shape contemporary television and film, making her one of the most compelling and respected performers of her generation.
